Artist Statement

My current practice investigates the complexities of the internal world and the psychological landscapes that shape identity.

Currently I’am making evocative soft sculptures that use softness, comfort, and colour as strategies for gently introducing confronting realities. The aim is to invite viewers into difficult conversations through familiarity.

Furthermore, I reimagine spaces associated with home, belonging, and safety, introducing subtle disruptions that challenge these familiar environments and question their emotional stability.

In addition, I am deeply inspired by feminist art theory, particularly art practices of the early 1990s that embrace the multiplicity of women's experiences. Grounded in feminism, my work seeks to create spaces where women's experiences can be acknowledged, validated, and collectively reflected upon. My practice is both an act of personal storytelling and an invitation for others to recognise aspects of their own experiences within the work.
